Authors: Give success a try, but don’t let it spoil you.

Words. Wisdom. RCC Strikes Again.

C h a z z W r i t e s . c o m

I love talking to people on the way up. Striving for excellence, many authors manage to stay humble and helpful and fun to be around. Nobody knows everything yet and, contrary to what you’ve been told, not walking around in God’s presence is easy on the nerves. Then there are those who think they are gods on Earth.

1. My son was sick on the day a popular author came to his school. The kid was disappointed that he was too ill to attend so, while on a Kleenex box run, I went to the school in search of an autograph for him. The author’s mood could best be described as pissy. He’d visited too many elementary schools and he obviously felt the event was beneath him. He had forgotten what it was like to aspire to his position.

Suggestion: Remember when you imagined one of the perks of authorship was signing a book and inspiring…

Two lives with horrific
pasts. One chance meeting that changed them both forever.
“One look at her and I
want to run. Frizzy hair, thick glasses, mom jeans, and ruffles up to her neck.
Who the hell wears shit like that? What decade is she living in? My mother
doesn’t even dress like that!”
Raised by a monster, Kestrel Hart somehow
survived. Now that the monster is dead, he’s trying to move on, to pull himself
together. Struggling with issues no one can imagine, he moves away from his
family, from the brother who loves him and the sister-in-law who supports and
understands him the best.
Charleston, South Carolina is his new

Carter’s past is also a painful one. She

Carter needs love. Kestrel craves

they see it before it’s too late?
“I’ll do anything you want. Anything.” Then something comes over me. Call it madness.
Desperation. Insanity. Call it whatever you want. I step right up to him and
put my hands on his shoulders. Then I kiss him. He stands there like a chunk of
stone. So I press my body up to him, and rub myself against him. I open my
mouth and run my tongue over his lips, and then push it into his mouth.
Nothing. No response. Humiliation sets in. I am not this girl. I’m the classic
nerd. I don’t have boyfriends. Where is this coming from?
He pulls away from me and steps back, rubbing his

That stings. Really stings. But even more dreadful,
I am morbidly ashamed of myself. That doesn’t stop me from digging myself into
an even deeper hole.
“What? Am I not sexy enough? Are my clothes not
revealing enough?”
“Um, Dr. Drayton, this is more than a bit awkward.”
“No, tell me. And my name is Carter.”
“You’re propositioning me.” Now I detect a hint of
“No, not propositioning. I want to strike a deal.
You see, I’m a desperate woman. And desperate people do all kinds of things.”
“Carter, I’m really not interested.”
“I know I’m not very attractive, but if you want me
to change the way I look, I can do that.”
“You don’t understand.”
“What? Am I not good enough for you?”
His eyes skim me from head to toe. “Good doesn’t have anything to do
with it. You’re not
bad enough for me.”

TOP 10 Better Business Systems for Authors: Paradigm Shift

Words of Wisdom Yet Again

C h a z z W r i t e s . c o m

FYI: There’s free stuff for you at the end of this super important post so, y’know, hang in for that.

There’s a lot of talk about “getting your head screwed on straight” to deal with the business challenges of indie publishing. We’re told we have to cultivate the right attitude and mindset before we can do anything effectively. If that’s true, how come so many authors are out on a ledge? Maybe we’re proceeding from a false premise. How about we do what grown-up businesses do and stop talking quite so much about “mindset”? Let’s talk more about getting shit done and done well and on time with less hassle. That will change your mindset.

Let’s turn our prevailing paradigm and some frowns upside down. Let’s talk systems.

You’ll have a better mindset once you set up systems and deal with the mechanics of your business effectively. If you aren’t managing your time…

“Good morning Amari. Sorry I couldn’t wait,” Raya said. She pulled off her sneakers one by one, followed by her sports socks.
Amari held out her hand, inviting her across. Raya’s eyes lit up and she began to walk across the shallow water. Suddenly she stopped and looked down at her feet, confusion written across her face. Raya backed away, out of the water.
“You okay?”
“Err…yeah. Why don’t you come across here?” Raya suggested.
Amari did not hesitate, pulling up her dress to skip across the cool water, leaving her sandals behind. Once across, Raya grabbed her hand and pulled her into her. Both girls looked at each other. Raya’s deep green eyes shone back at Amari.
“You’re beautiful…” began Raya, but she was silenced by Amari who pulled Raya’s head down in a rough kiss. Instantly there was a connection, sparks of energy flew around them and Amari’s body began to heat up. Lips meshed and tongues played, dancing and teasing. Their hands explored and grabbed each other’s bodies to get closer, wanting no space between them.
Ray moaned into Amari’s mouth. Amari pulled away.
“Sorry, did I hurt you?”
“Are you kidding me?” Raya said, pulling her back into a kissing that almost hurt with the fierce passion that was behind it. Amari’s mouth sizzled against Raya’s; never had she experienced something this strong straight away. She pulled at Raya’s T-shirt, wanting nothing between them; skin on skin was her desire. Raya helped her out by holding her arms up and Amari pulled the T-shirt off. Underneath she wore a simple cotton bra that cradled her breasts. Amari slid off one strap and kissed the soft skin of her neck, then shoulder. She felt Raya’s hand massage the back of her head, keeping her in that position. So she likes to be kissed there. With a new lover, it was always a learning experience; what they liked and didn’t like was stored in your memory. She was enjoying learning about Raya. She pulled down one cup to reveal a perfect breast with an erect pink nipple. Raya wasted no time: she sucked it straight away and then used her teeth to bite gently. This released another moan from Raya’s lips. Amari smiled, looking up at Raya.
“You like a little pain?” Amari carried on sucking Raya’s breasts with gentle bites. She moved her hand down Raya’s front and edged it into her joggers and down to her panties, which to Amari’s delight were a little moist. She rubbed Raya’s mound, letting the tips of her fingers slide down further. Raya spread her legs a little; that meant Amari could reach further. Massaging that pussy was not enough, she wanted to taste. Amari grabbed Raya’s joggers, pulled them all the way down and then knelt at her feet.
Raya’s legs were long and toned, probably with all that jogging. Amari stroked them up and down, dragging her nails closer and closer to her bare pussy that glistened, inviting her to taste.

“You’re stalling, so it must mean it’s time for me to leave.” Sofya spun on the spot, and Misty swiftly caught her arm.
“Let’s take a seat.” Misty pointed to the sofa and Sofya nodded her agreement.
“Raya’s father was killed when she was young, and it’s all messed up.” Misty took a sip. “He had land and somehow the local Were community were involved.”
“My father had nothing to do with that…how could you think such a thing?” Sofya put the cup down and made to get up. Misty reached across and grabbed her arm.
“I know, I know he didn’t. It was all before his time. But if the land was taken without proper permission then Raya has a right to claim it.”
“Wait, are you talking about the land that Wylan wants? He keeps bugging my dad to sign it over to him.”
“You know about all this?” Misty sat up, alert to every detail.
“Sure, I know there’s something going on with some land issue, and I heard Wylan and dad talking about how the Vamps were warning us or something…wait.” Sofya paused, looking into her cup.
“Wylan was talking about the night I was attacked and how the Vamps were sending a warning. I didn’t get it at the time.”
“Hold on, that makes sense. Raya and Amari have worked out that somehow the Shifters blamed the Witches who had some involvement in a curse on the Weres. It looks like the Vamps have been using both communities for their own reasons.”
“Oh boy, not the stupid legend of how a powerful witch cursed the Weres who are now bound to the moon? Come on people.” She rolled her eyes. “Sheesh.”
“Each community holds on to their own beliefs and legends. For some it’s what holds people together, since you know a common enemy. You and I are supposed to be enemies, but when you get rid of all that bad history we are two people who love each other.”
“What? You love me? Seriously, like proper love?” Sofya’s eyes widened.
Misty suddenly realized what she had said. There was no going back now.
“Y…Yes I do. I’ve never felt like this with anyone.” Misty looked down at her hands, too scared to look up and stare Sofya in the face. She was worried at what she’d see. Rejection was not something she wanted to feel ever again.
“I love you too.”
The words she longed to hear came as a whisper. Misty looked up and saw tears shining in the eyes of the woman she loved.
“Really?” Misty couldn’t believe it. No-one had ever said that back to her.

Mostly for fun, I recorded an advertisement for my latest book, “Thief’s Odyssey,” on Armand Rosamilia’s horror podcast. I love his podcast, listen to it all the time. He interviews lots of great writers and even filmmakers. He’s also sort of fun. If you’re curious, give it a try here:…

We were nearly halfway up the stairs when I heard Lawrence groan. I turned to see what had happened. He was deathly white, and while I watched, he sank down on the closest step. He was sweating heavily and clutching his stomach. He didn’t seem coherent enough to answer any questions, so I ducked into my room and called for an ambulance. They only took about ten minutes to arrive, but it was horrible to wait. Lawrence was obviously in great pain, but couldn’t tell me what was wrong.

The ride to the hospital took an eternity. They wouldn’t let me ride in the ambulance, and I was so afraid of what would happen before he arrived. I was shaking and behind the wheel of a car was the last place I should have been, but as the ambulance tore through the streets with the siren blaring, I was right behind them.

I ran from the parking lot into the emergency room just in time to see them take Lawrence through a set of swinging doors where I couldn’t follow. I slumped into a chair, and for the next two hours I sat in a waiting room with dull green walls and hard metal chairs. I never moved while I waited. My mind was busy begging Lawrence to hold on.

Since I was the only one waiting, when I saw an exhausted-looking man dressed in scrubs walk into the room, I took a deep breath and hurried to his side.

He said, “Are you the relative who brought Lawrence Hall in tonight?”

Afraid they wouldn’t tell me anything if I confessed to not being a relative, I just nodded.

“Mr. Hall is a very sick man. He’s been poisoned, and we think he must have eaten poisonous mushrooms. Our tests indicate they were probably green-spored lepiota.”

At this point I wanted to scream at him to just tell me his condition. He could explain the details after I knew how Lawrence was.

However, he wasn’t finished explaining. “This particular mushroom doesn’t normally cause death, but among its other symptoms it can dangerously lower blood pressure. Mr. Hall must be on some type of medication that has the same effect, or at least exacerbated the effect of the mushroom, because we nearly lost him. It’s a good thing you got him here when you did. We have him stabilized now, and he should make a full recovery.”

I barely heard anything the man said except the last statement. Lawrence was going to be all right! My knees weakened with relief and I sank into the nearest chair.

He continued, “He’s awake, and we need to monitor him closely for a while. We want to keep him tonight and tomorrow for observation, but he can probably go home after that. If you want to see him, you can visit for a short time, but first, can you tell me what type of medication he’s taking? He was still pretty confused when I talked to him and wasn’t able to tell me.”

“I don’t know the exact medication. Lawrence is bi-polar, so it has to be something for that. I’ll see if I can find out the name for you.”

I got the room number and was practically running in my need to see for myself that he was alive and recovering. I burst into the room, nearly knocking over a nurse on her way out. She cautioned me the patient needed rest and, with a frown in my direction, left the room. I pulled a chair up next to the bed and took Lawrence’s hand. “You look so much better already. You have some color back.”

He said, “You look terrible. You can relax. I’m going to be fine. I was a little worried in the beginning because the confusion felt the way some of my episodes used to begin. The confusion is gone now, and I really am fine. It’s left me very tired, but they don’t want me to sleep yet. Tell me exactly what happened. I’m sure the gory details will help keep me awake. The last thing I remember is starting up the stairs, and then brief moments in the ambulance.”

I wanted to answer in the same matter-of-fact way he’d asked the question. I tried, but before I could begin, tears were running down my face and I couldn’t find my voice. I didn’t sob or howl. Strangely, I didn’t make any noise at all. I just stared at Lawrence, horrified because he might have died trying to help me. All the while the silent tears kept coming.

He said, “Ali, we can’t have this. I’ve seen you go through some horrible times, but I’ve never seen you cry. There’s no need for you to be so upset. I promise you I will be out of here tomorrow, and all will be well. Even the doctor says so.”

I gulped a few times trying to find my voice. It didn’t sound good, but I managed to say, “I couldn’t bear it if anything happened to you. When you get out of here, you’re going right back to Scottsdale! I should never have involved you in any of this.”

“Whoa there, girl! In the first place, I’m a grown man and you can’t involve me in anything I don’t choose to be involved in. In the second place, you and your crazy mixed-up life are the main thing keeping me from getting old and bored. Bad things happen sometimes, but none of this is your fault. Now dry those tears and tell me how I got here.”

I hiccuped a few times but got myself under control. “Okay, I’m not trying to take the blame for what happened, but I was so scared. It seems you were poisoned. I wasn’t in much shape to listen to the doctor, but it was some kind of mushroom. There were mushrooms in the food we ate at supper, but we both ate those. Someone targeted you specifically. At the moment, I have no idea why they did it, but I don’t think whoever did this was trying to kill you. The doctor said the symptoms were severe but not normally fatal. The problem seemed to be a reaction between the poison and your medication. Whoever did this couldn’t have known that you take anything, or at least not that your medicine would react with the mushrooms. The doctor asked me to find out the name of your prescription.”

“I vaguely remember him asking me, but I was pretty confused then and couldn’t remember. It’s Geodon. They tried dozens before, but nothing worked until this came along. I’m one of the lucky ones, because it not only keeps the problem in check, but I don’t suffer from any severe side effects. This reaction with poison mushrooms is something I certainly never expected. I should have told you ages ago in case of a relapse or some bizarre circumstances like these.”

“I’ll let the doctor know the name of the medicine. I don’t know if your medication lowers your blood pressure, but it dropped dangerously low. That’s what had the doctors worried.”

“I don’t know either, but the doctors will figure it out. I understand I have to be in here until tomorrow evening, even though I tried to talk them into letting me go sooner. You need to promise me you won’t do anything the least bit dangerous until I get back. One day isn’t going to make any difference. Whoever did this may have planned it to separate us for some reason. So promise me you’ll be careful and not spend time alone.”

The frowning nurse came back and warned me I needed to leave. Visiting hours were over and the patient needed rest.

I said, “Don’t worry about me. I promise I will take every precaution until you’re out of here. I’ll be back tomorrow afternoon and will drive you to the house when they release you. Just get well!”

Outside the room, Detective Wilton was waiting for me.

With shaky fingers, I tried inserting the key into the lock. After a few unsuccessful tries, I was finally able and flung the door open. Taking three steps at a time, I got to the third floor and slammed my shoulder into my apartment door, leaving it hanging off the hinges. My canines and claws were out and the hair on my arms were thickening. Once I passed the threshold of my apartment, I started to strip my clothes off as I walked towards the back bedroom.
I let out a shriek as my shoulder bones snapped and I involuntarily hunched over while holding on to the door knob. I’m almost there, c’mon, hang on, I told myself as I struggled to open the bedroom door and slam it shut behind me. I reached a distorted arm towards the cage and gripped one of the steel bars—flinging myself inside. Now on all fours, I crawled to the lock and clipped it shut.
As if the sound of the bolt was permission enough, a howl ripped through me and the wolf was set free.

Born in New York City, my family picked up and moved to South

traveling and experiencing what life had to offer me. At twenty four years old,
I’m back in South Florida in my third year of University-majoring in
Communication studies. When not in the writing cave, I usually have my nose in a
book or on Netflix, cut off from the world with a huge bowl of ice cream.

Zafir doesn’t believe the higher powers that exist give a damn about any of us, and he sure as hell doesn’t pray. The forgiveness he’s found for the sins in his past haven’t come from above but from the fatherless child he rescued. On a mission to destroy the remaining Sylph that had a hand in the death of David’s mother, Z and the Wanderers stumble upon a nasty plot over a generation in the making. As the enemy brings the battle to them David develops a potent new ability that threatens his very sanity. Fighting a war with his hands tied, Z is forced to turn to the one place he never imagined to help the boy he once saved: his knees. He seeks nothing more than the strength to finish the mission he started when he brought his son home. And God help anyone who tries to stand in his way…

I laugh as the late night host
takes a jab at the guest on his show and I settle back on
the sofa. Using the thick ring
I wear I pop the top off the cold beer I’ve just retrieved from the fridge
and take a long swig. I’m not really one for jewelry but over time I’ve
grown accustomed to the heavy band and some of its finer functions, like
how it doubles as a bottle opener quite nicely. With a flick of my wrist I
toss the cap on the coffee table and try to focus on the television, but I
struggle. I’m tired. It’s nothing new; I can’t remember the last time I
wasn’t exhausted. Had to be before David, I surmise. Surely I’d slept better
before the little monster latched onto me?
As my thoughts shift toward the
child I mute the television and turn toward the closed
door across the apartment,
behind which he lies sleeping. My keen Wanderer hearing
doesn’t detect anything amiss,
in fact it doesn’t detect anything at all, causing the hairs on the back
of my neck to stand on end. A paralyzing fear snakes its way through my
stomach and before I can think twice I’m off the sofa. Mother’s
instinct…that’s how one of the women at the M.O.P.S. (Mothers of
Preschoolers) group I’d been going to had described it. At the time I’d
thought she was nuts and had almost let her know, using very specific terminology
that there was no fucking way I was plagued by some feminine sixth sense. Then
I remembered that they all thought I was a woman, thanks to a little mental
tampering on my part so I could fit in. Looking at it in that context her
assessment wasn’t so offensive, I decided. Still I’d Googled that shit
when I got home only to discover she’d been spot on. The unexplainable
feelings of dread that I sometimes get are apparently frequent in mothers
In a flash I’m barreling
through David’s door with no consideration for the sleeping
occupant. I can feel a light
breeze from the window that I don’t remember leaving open and panicking I
flip on a light. I run to the bed and yank back the covers that I find nothing
out of the ordinary despite already knowing something is very, very wrong.
“David?” I yell. Sweat beads on
my forehead as my eyes dart from the empty bed to the
fluttering curtains and lock on
to the malevolent grin and dark luminescent eyes floating in the shadows.
I lunge for the Sylph calmly hovering mere inches beyond the window sill.
“David,” he says, mimicking my
cry with mocking humor. Before I can get my hands
on him he dissipates, leaving
tufts of bright smoke that swiftly extinguish before my eyes.
“David!” I bellow again,
fingers dug so tightly into the window frame that it cracks. I
clutch at my chest and spin
about disoriented; it’s difficult to think. I have to move, I   have to find
him. My battle-ready body responds to the simple command and all higher
reasoning checks out. I leap through the window into the night; it’s time
to hunt.

Have you met Meat?

Until December of last year the only post-apocalyptic fiction I’d ever written had been two stories that appeared in my collection 9 Dark Tales. One story in particular, Don’t Mess With The Pizza Guy stoked the creative fires of my muse who from that point on teased me with the possibilities of what could be. The story takes place twenty years after the Zombie Apocalypse. The dead, those that remain, still roam unfettered across the country while the survivors are concentrated in armed camps scattered across the land.

One camp in particular stands out, Bremo Bluff, where a coal powered electric generation plant occupies the north bank of the James River. Here, due to the foresight of those who survived the initial outbreak, an armed camp was built around the plant and while much of the rest of the world spent its nights living by candlelight, those who live in Bremo Bluff enjoy the conveniences a ready supply of electricity offer.

In Don’t Mess With The Pizza Guy, our hero is Meat, named as such because upon his birth at the height of the Zombie Apocalypse, his mother took one look at him and pronounced him Meat. Twenty years after his birth he moonlights as a pizza delivery guy in Bremo Bluff, and when one of his customers kidnaps him with the intent to use him as bait for a killing party, he turns the tables on his captor.

Meat for me has grown to represent man’s insatiable desire to survive whatever is thrown at him. That undying hope coupled with a tenacious ability to spring back from the brink of extinction and move forward in the face of what many might view as insurmountable odds. But where did he come from? What happened in his past to make him the man he became?

In an attempt to answer those questions I’ve gone back to a time when he was only twelve with my latest release, BorderTown: Meat Goes to Richmond, a serial novella of approximately 30,000 words scheduled to be released in three segments of 10,000 words each.

Each part will be exclusive to Amazon and available for free to Kindle Unlimited members. Each part will be priced in such a manner that you will not pay one penny more whether you purchase each 10,000 word part individually so you can follow along as each part is released, or you can wait until the 30,000 word novella is completed and compiled.

Part one has already been released and is available for free from February 6th to the 8th  to celebrate the release of part two that will be released 02/07/15. Part three will follow the first week of March. Don’t ask me what happens in the end, I know, but I don’t know yet as Part three will be written this month.

What lies beyond Meat Goes to Richmond is anybody’s guess at this point. I know I want to explore Bremo Bluff in more detail, get to know the people who make up this outpost at the edge of a brutal land, and I’d like to follow Meat as he grows up. Tagging along as he ventures beyond the fence on his varied quests.

Bordertown: Meat Goes to Richmond Part I

They lived in a new reality, the time after, adventurers in an old new world. At twelve they had been forced by circumstances into adulthood. Coming of age when the few remaining Zombies were the least of their worries. Where savagery was the norm, and man’s inhumanity to man was on daily display.

Accompanied by Window, Einstein, and Billie-Bob. Meat embarks on a quest to retrieve several young children kidnapped from the Bremo Bluff compound by a savage band of survivors.

Window earned his name due to his transparent nature. He had shown up outside the fence six years before, dressed in a filthy pair of batman pajamas, and carrying an empty forty-four-magnum revolver. No one knew where he came from or what circumstances brought him to the fence, and he wasn’t sharing.

While Einstein was the smartest in the group, his knowledge filled him with a deep sense of what was right, giving him with a view of the world that at times ran counter to the stark realities of survival.

Billie-Bob was one half of a set of twins. Those who knew him and his brother called them both Billie-Bob, as they were never really sure which of the twins they were talking to at any given moment. While not as smart as the others he had the ability to hit any target, moving or stationary, with practically any rifle he was given.

Billie-Bob and Einstein had grown up in Bremo Bluff, as such they had little experience of the world beyond the fence. Meat begins to question his ability to lead when they capture a member of the band responsible for the kidnapping. An argument ensues over what to do with him, since they can’t just turn him loose. Window carries through with his own decision, sparking tension and mistrust within the group.

The trail leads them to Richmond where they will face a brutality that could only come from the depths of hell. But first they have to overcome their own differences if they hope to survive.

Bordertown: Meat Goes to Richmond Part II

Every dark cloud has a silver lining, but some silver linings mask a frightening secret.

As their journey continues friendships are tested and strengthened. Window confesses to matricide and a frightening secret about Bremo Bluffs is revealed, shaking Einstein’s faith to its very core.

Taking refuge from a spring storm in a vacant house they discover a survivor, a young girl who had been hiding from her mother who had recently died and turned. Her presence sparks a touch of jealousy among the four friends, and Meat decides to leave her behind with Einstein until they pass back through on their return from Richmond.

If they return.

Reaching the outskirts of Richmond Meat has never felt as alone as he does at that moment. Questioning his ability to lead he begins to suspect that what lies at the end of their quest is something far more terrifying than Zombies or man’s savagery.

Richard’s Bio:

Richard was born in Frostburg, Maryland, in the winter of ’58’ and currently lives eight miles away. A five-year stint with the military allowed him to see what he wanted of the world. Married with four grown children and eleven grandchildren, he and his wife provide a home to four pets that are spoiled beyond rotten.

While the majority of his fiction is dark, his focus is on the character’s struggle to reach the light at the end of the tunnel. A fight that mirrors his own ongoing battle with depression. An avid reader he has written and published three novels, two novellas, and a collection of short stories since his return to writing in 2008 after a computer crash wiped out nearly ten years of work in 2001.

In addition to writing daily he works a full time job in retail, and piddles around in his wood-shop making one mess after another when time permits. Richard can be found online at:

Sabbath, Writing Sabbath

Beginning this Sunday and hopefully continuing each Sunday for as far as the eye can see, I will be taking the day off from social media. That’s really all I wanted to say…

I’ll be spending Sunday with my family, getting some uninterrupted writing in, and not wasting hours and hours on Facebook, Twitter, and this blog… if you see me pop in I won’t be staying for long.

If you have anything you need to ask me or tell me, you won’t get a response until Monday morning from now on.

When I became a full-time author I thought my hours would get easier, but I realize between writing, promotions, social media, etc. I put in about 15 hours a day, 7 days a week… so now it will be 6 days a week. Although I’ll do some writing on Sundays if possible…

I guess I did have more things to say…

He pulled away. “You like it rough?”
She lifted and dropped a shoulder. “Now and then.” Charm smiled. “You seem a bit overdressed. How about you join me in your birthday suit?”
“Birthday suit?” ‘Where do humans come up with their terms?’
Charm waved a hand up and down in front of her, indicating her body. “Naked, dude. Take it all off.” She twirled a finger at him.
Wade made quick work of getting out of his clothes and tossed them on top of her outfit. Her gaze raked his body, and he stood proud and tall, letting her drink in her fill of him. Her eyes widened when her attention landed on his hard cock. “Impressive, aren’t I?”
Charm nodded. “Very. You remind me of the pictures of Navy Seals my grandfather once showed me. Tall, fit, muscular. Predatory in a way.”
He plastered a devilish smile on his face and stepped toward her. She moved back. Another step and her cute ass hit the wall. Leaning in, he placed his hands on the stone on each side of her head and whispered, “Predatory. I like that word. Think you can take all of me in your pussy?”
She bobbed her head again, then looked up with wide eyes. “Sure,” her voice squeaked.
Just like the predator she thought him to be, he kept her trapped in the spot and decided to toy with her. “Do not be afraid of me. Show me your confidence. It, as you humans say, turns me on.”
Wade learned every nuance of her body using his hands, lips, and tongue, eliciting musical groans and whimpers from her and loving her feminine softness. She bent her body in his direction when he suckled on the hard nub of her breast. While he teased the nipple, he grasped her other tit, squeezed and massaged the mound.
Charm fit so perfectly in his hand, against his body. He must have done something right in his life to have received such a wonderful gift. Kissing her shoulder then neck, he moved his hand from her breast down to the silky patch of hair and then to her pussy. She parted her legs. Taking her movement as an invitation, he fondled her velvety folds with his thumb and forefinger and tweaked her clit as he slid his other fingers in and out of her canal.
“I need to taste you.” Wade dropped to his knees in front of her, sliding his hands down her legs and coaxing her knees farther apart.
Gaining access, Wade kissed his way up her thigh to her pussy. He licked her moist folds and dipped his tongue into her slit. ‘So luscious, like honey. So fetching.’ He needed more of her and wanted her to respond to him as she never had with anyone else ever before, so he tongued her as if it were his cock pounding her.

Authors Supporting Our Troops – January 2015 Totals #ASOT2015

Bumper Stickers

Alrighty then… the first month of the 2015 version of the event is over, and I gotta tell ya… it went way smoother than last year for me!

There were no more giant piles of books I then had to wade through and box up for the soldiers. After I opened and logged each shipment in, I was able to take a picture of the books, post them on Facebook and then they went right into boxes ready to ship to the soldiers. I made sure each box had a wide assortment of books from all genres. But I can’t take any of the credit because Special Gal told me the right way to do this…

So… how did we do so far?

We had 117 authors/shipments arrive in the month

947 author-signed books

That’s an average of 8 books per author signed and donated… amazing!

At this rate we’ll beat our goal of 3,500 author-signed books for this year’s event, not including any books coming after the ‘official’ close date of May 1st (although I will be collecting books all year, so don’t worry)

Now, which States had the coolest authors sending us books?

This is not really all that scientific and I simply made note of who the author was and what State the package was shipped from when I recorded all of this along with how many books were involved. This is by author and not by how many books because that would be too much work and this is for fun. I don’t really need more work piled on for the event, either…

1. California – 15 authors!

2. Florida – 10 authors!

3. Texas – 7 authors!

4. North Carolina – 6 authors!

5. Wisconsin – 5 authors!

I’m not going to point out the 16 of 50 States that didn’t have an author representing it so far, because that wouldn’t be fair… but I hope in the coming weeks a few more are checked off the list!

I will be getting in touch via Facebook to several of the authors from Cali to get their addresses and send them an #ASOT2015 bumper sticker if they’d like them.

I also want to thank everyone for the donations towards the huge shipping bill… we are well ahead of where we need to be for it. I would suggest everyone interested in donating please buy a shirt, so you have something cool to wear around and help spread the word! A couple of bucks from each sale goes to the shipping but, again, you get something you can be proud of and it helps spread the word when you post a picture of yourself in it!
