Spotlight On: John O’Brien

What is your latest release and what genre is it?

A New World: Conspiracy.  Horror and Post Apocalyptic genres.

Quick description of it.

The book continues the ongoing saga of Jack Walker and a small group of survivors who are struggling through a post-apocalyptic world. Not only do they have to face marauders of their own kind, but they face a deadly threat from a genetically altered species – the night runners. The night runners are faster, more agile, and cunning. Their ferocious nature and rage focused toward the last vestiges of humankind make continued life for the small group a daily peril. Running through the streets at night, they hunt in packs to bring down the last remnants of the human race. Humankind has been brought down a rung on the food chain.

Something unique about it.

The night runners are faster, more agile, cunning, and vastly outnumber the remaining survivors. Genetic alterations have brought about the ability to hear better, smell any scent with the precision of a canine, and can see in the dark. They communicate with each other with a form of telepathy and, to the detriment of those surviving, they are evolving.
